Ashly Cass, Educator

Ever since hand-feeding her hatchling baby cockatiel at the age of nine, Ashly has felt a deep connection with animals; feathered and furred alike! Throughout childhood and adolescence, many bonds were formed between Ashly and all of her family’s companion pets. She felt a passion starting to form with animals, their welfare, and how humans interacted with them.

As an adult, she takes an active role in conservation and education efforts, while simultaneously seeking her own education in animal psychology and behavior. Ashly has volunteered countless hours between several avian facilities in San Diego county. She recently attended a Positive Parrot Training Retreat, where she was exposed to intense learning opportunities over the course of five days. After attending this retreat, she is even more inspired to build a career that is focused on animals!
