Program name: Zovargo Foundation Text Messages
Program description: Zovargo Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in San Diego, California, sends two kinds of text messages, only to people who opt in: (1) Team reminders for our interns, volunteers, and staff: reminders to RSVP for upcoming programs, team trainings, and events; RSVP deadline notices; schedule changes and cancellations; reminders to complete required training; and occasional team announcements. (2) Conservation updates for members of the public and supporters who subscribe: announcements of upcoming conservation education programs and community events, wildlife conservation tips, and news about our work.
How to opt in (public): Text JOIN to (619) 815-7556 to get Zovargo Foundation conservation program updates. Msg frequency varies (up to 4 msgs/mo). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. You will receive a confirmation text.
How to opt in (team): Interns and staff opt in when they create their Zovargo team account in the Zovargo app by ticking the required box agreeing to receive automated event, training and team reminder texts at the mobile number they verify. Team texts are how Zovargo schedules and staffs its programs, so this agreement is required to create a team account; you can still reply STOP at any time to stop all texts. Team members can also manage text reminders in the app (Events, then Reminders and contact) or in the Zovargo team dashboard (Settings, then My reminders). Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies. Conservation updates: up to 4 messages per month. Team reminders: typically up to 10 messages per month, more during busy program periods.
Costs: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan.
Opting out: You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages unless you opt in again by replying START or JOIN, or by turning text reminders back on.

Privacy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
